We invite high-quality original papers on research and development in the field of Intelligent User Interfaces. Papers should highlight both the general scientific contribution of the research and its practical significance. Videos supporting full paper submissions are encouraged where appropriate. However, papers will be judged independently of any accompanying video. Papers must not be published elsewhere as copyright of the paper is transferred to ACM for publication in the Conference Proceedings.

Submission Checklist

To submit a full paper to IUI99, please follow this checklist:

Prepare an IUI99 Cover Page (text or RTF versions).
Complete your paper using a maximum of eight (8) pages in the CHI paper format(PDF, Postscript).
(Optional) Prepare an NTSC VHS Video according to the IUI99 Video Instructions and prepare a 1-page sketch summarizing the video.
Make five (5) copies of the cover page, paper, and video with sketch.
Staple each copy of the paper, with the cover page at the front.
Send the five copies of all materials to the Program Chair.
Submissions must be received by July 1st, 1998.
We recommend the use of an express courier rather than regular postal service.

IUI98 is not able to accept submissions by FAX, email or electronic means.

Important Dates

Final Submissions: October 15, 1998
