A formal demo session will be held during the Poster Reception. We invite demonstrations of intelligent user interfaces and related tools. Work must be sufficiently mature that the demonstration can illustrate actual interaction with a user or actual application of a tool. Please include with your demo proposal a short paper describing the work to be presented; this will be printed in the conference proceedings.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Authors must supply their own equipment for demos; portable machines with a battery power supply are strongly recommended.
To submit a demo to IUI98, please follow this checklist:
- Prepare an IUI98 Cover Page.
- Complete your paper using a maximum of four (4) pages in the IUI98 Paper Format.
- (Optional) Prepare an NTSC VHS Video according to the IUI98 Video Instructions,
or prepare a 1- or 2-page storyboard of screenshots or sketches of your demo.
Note that preference will be given to submissions that include a videotape. - Make three (3) copies of the cover page, paper, and video or storyboard.
- Staple each copy of the paper, with the cover page at the front.
- Send the three copies of all materials to the Program Chair.
Submissions must be received by July 1st, 1997.
We recommend the use of an express courier rather than regular postal service.
IUI98 is not able to accept submissions by FAX, email or electronic means.
