Instructions for submitting a paper to IUI 2006
These instructions are for long papers (8 pages) and short papers (3 pages).
1. Upload your paper at http://www.conferencereview.com.
Log into the system or register if using it for the first time. Note that you must first register as an author. You must choose the 2006 International Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces (IUI 2006) from among the list of conferences, and then choose the short or long track. Proceed with the submission of your paper by following instructions at the conferencereview.com website. For additional help you can view the submission demo available on the homepage of www.conferencereview.com
2. Notes:
Submit your file as a pdf file. This is the only format that will be accepted through the conference review system.
As the final printing of accepted papers will be done in American Letter format, you might want to use that format for the submitted paper as well.
Accepted papers will appear in black and white (grayscale) in the body pages of the proceedings.
Please check that your submission adheres to the set page limit for your type of submission (Long papers: 8 pages; Short papers: 3 pages).
3. Click on which program you will be using to prepare your submission for the proceedings:
WORD
LaTEX (option#2)
FrameMaker
1. Please download the template from the ACM website: http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html.
Don't forget to produce a .pdf file for submission through the system (Click here for instructions on how to generate a .pdf file)
1. Please use option#2--sig-alternate class file from the ACM website (http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html) (this class file is a are tighter formats and automatically inserts the ACM copyright statement and conference info that is needed)].
2. LaTex user, please use Type 1 fonts for your .ps file, for help see: http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/sigfaq.htm#a14 for help. If you still have difficulty check with your system administrator.

1. Please make the .fm file match the specifications outlined in the WORD template, available at: http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html (see attached framemaker6.0 template, right click to download)
